Clutch — Message Studio
Privacy, clearly.
This page explains the planned handling when adult-only personal AI help is available in Clutch.
What stays on the device
An age range, never a date of birth, is retained on the device. Profiles aged 13–17 use written examples and local tools, without remote AI analysis or purchases. Conversation screenshots are read locally with Apple Vision, and you can correct or remove text before any request.
History and people cards are optional, stored locally, excluded from device backups, and removable in Settings. A person card never sends its private nickname or identifier. Chat Wrapped cards contain counts only: no name and no conversation excerpt.
When you ask for AI help
Only after your explicit permission and adult confirmation, Clutch sends reviewed text, optional context, language, and tone preferences through its server to DeepSeek. The opening-message feature requires separate permission before it sends the image you select. Remove private details and share only information you are allowed to share.
The Clutch service is delivered through Cloudflare. It uses stable pseudonymous identifiers and security-related technical data transformed with a secret for limits and fraud prevention. A signed Apple purchase record verifies Pro access with the Clutch server and RevenueCat, a StoreKit 2 subscription service; it isn’t sent to DeepSeek. These identifiers are not a promise of complete anonymity.
DeepSeek is established in China. Its public policy says that processing of end-user data in applications built on its open platform is the application operator’s responsibility. Its processing, storage, and service terms may apply to data sent to it. Clutch does not promise zero retention, no training, or deletion at DeepSeek. RevenueCat and Cloudflare process transaction or service information under their own terms, which may involve international processing.

Subscriptions and analytics
Personal analyses and subscriptions are for adults only. The Pro limits shown with the offer are 50 analyses per day and 500 per calendar month. Prices, billing periods, and any trial come from Apple. RevenueCat observes StoreKit 2 transactions to help manage subscriptions.
TelemetryDeck receives pseudonymous events about app steps, plan choices, and purchase outcomes, plus limited app metadata. It never receives conversation text, images, contact-card content, or response content. These events are used to understand the product and purchase flow, not for cross-app advertising or tracking.

You can withdraw text and image permissions separately in Settings, edit or remove content before a request, and erase local history or people cards. Withdrawing permission blocks future requests in that scope; it can’t retrieve data already sent to a provider.
